5 new restaurants in Bengaluru with bold and beautiful interiors
Bengaluru’s dining scene gets new additions that are elevating the game with innovative flavours as well as striking interiors. We take a look at these restaurants in Bengaluru where design and food blend to create a multi-sensory experience.
Daysie
An all-day casual dining and bar, Daysie is meticulously designed by Studio Camarada redefining the traditional pub experience with a modern twist. Spread across two floors, it brings the outdoors in with its spatial planning, yet shields patrons from the harsh elements like the sun and rain. From arches to curvilinear forms and charming murals to interesting light fixtures—its interiors warrant your attention at every step. The double-height ceiling on the ground floor, the thoughtfully partitioned seating zones, and the flooring that carries the design flow forward are features that make Daysie stand out. One of the main highlights on each floor is the bar that becomes the focal point of the entire space. A theatrical staircase takes one upstairs that gives diners a view of the floor and street below, with seating options of community tables, booths, and individual tables. Bright pops of colour, attention to detail, and dramatic lighting make the restaurant a high-energy space that transforms beautifully whether you drop by for your morning coffee or an evening tipple.
Sozo Skyline
Overlooking the garden city’s skyline with a perfect spot for viewing sunsets, Sozo Skyline creates a fusion of cool design, art, and pan-Asian cuisine in its premises. Spanning 4,500 square feet across three distinct levels, this premium fine-dining restaurant can accommodate up to 180 guests and is designed by its co-founder Prajwal Lokesh. The interiors are planned to offer a transformative environment inspired by its natural surroundings and striking artistic elements. One side gives patrons a stellar view of Bengaluru and its abundant flora, while the decor inside features sleek furnishing, creating a comforting yet sophisticated atmosphere. The soft lighting is akin to having a candlelit dinner and is recreated via its central light installation that looks like inverted candles. Near the indoor seating, circular bulbs with a moonlit effect jut out. The hues and patterns of the seating add a vibrant touch to the space. Planters placed outside are visible through glass windows, giving diners sitting inside a glimpse of greenery. A Greek word for salvation, Sozo provides a sensory experience that intertwines luxury, creativity, and nature.
