Annie James

If your favorite character is Annie James, you have an elegant yet playful design style. Annie, who was raised in London by her wedding dress designer mother, Elizabeth, is quite sophisticated for a young girl. Often in chic, matching outfits and headbands, Annie appreciates high style and cohesion.

In design, this translates to soft color palettes and ornate details. But, like Annie’s silly side that appears around her sister, your style has a youthful quality, too. You appreciate whimsical details like bay windows with cozy cushions, built-in bunkbeds, and fun wallpaper.

Hallie Parker

Hallie Parker, the more mischievous and outgoing sister, was raised in Napa Valley, California, by her dad, Nick. If Hallie Parker is your favorite character in The Parent Trap, your style is more utilitarian rather than frilly, just like Hallie’s. Often considered a “tomboy,” Hallie is rarely concerned about looking a certain way. Instead, she focuses on comfort for her favorite activities, like horseback riding and fencing.

In interior design, this looks like valuing function over form without giving up your personal style. While your house’s main job is to be a comfortable spot to land after a long day, there are still plenty of decorative touches throughout the home, maybe some inspired by Hallie’s California-meets-western style.

Elizabeth James

Elizabeth James, an English wedding gown designer, lives in a townhome in London filled with art, books, and color. If she’s your favorite character, there’s no doubt your home style is classy, timeless, and feminine. You appreciate a home’s original details, like wooden floors, banisters, and molding, but you like to put your spin on it. From wallpaper to gallery walls (or both), no decor is off the table. With an artful mix of vintage and new pieces, your home is thoughtfully designed while looking completely effortless.

Chessy

Chessy (arguably the most-loved character) is the Parkers’ long-time housekeeper and Hallie’s fill-in mom. Often clad in denim and canvas, Chessy’s style isn’t showy, but is subtle and natural.

If Chessy is your favorite character, your interior design style includes plenty of calming neutrals and natural textures like wood, stone, and wicker. While rooms in your home may be designed for function and ease, they aren’t short in style or warmth. Lots of natural light and warm, muted color palettes make your spaces feel comforting and inviting, just like our favorite housekeeper.

Nick Parker

If Nick Parker, the twins’ father, is your favorite character, you’re probably much more concerned about your outdoor living spaces than the inside of your home. As a vineyard owner and avid horseback rider, Nick spends lots of time outside soaking up the California sun.

If you relate most to Nick, you prioritize spending time in nature and making your outside space into a private oasis. Whether big or small, your backyard is cozy and functional enough to make dinner in, have a bonfire, and even sleep under the stars. With raw materials like stone, brick, and wood, your goal is for your home to feel like an extension of the natural scenery.

Meredith Blake

Nick’s fiancée, Meredith Blake, is the brunt of many pranks and criticisms in The Parent Trap, and while she does have some negative qualities, we all have to appreciate the antagonist’s stunning sense of style. Cat eye glasses, black straw hats, matching workout sets, and white shift dresses are only a few of her go-to pieces in the film.

If Meredith Blake is your favorite character, you like classic color combos like black and white or red and blue with pops of metallic accents. Clean lines, defined spaces, and old-money style are your idea of a perfect home.
